About Dan
Having completed my second year of mechanical engineering at UBC, I'm well versed in high school math and physics. But there are many other topics I'm passionate about too, like psychology, filmmaking, and photography. Whenever I am teaching or explaining a concept, I find myself pulling from many different facets of my experience to encourage a deep and intuitive understanding: something I believe to be crucial for academic success and enjoyment.

For me, teaching isn't about rehashing what you're supposed to know for the test. It's about showing you the world through my eyes so you can see just how damn cool it is! Then everything you need to know for that test will stick on its own with no need to force it.
I like to use many different methods and techniques to build an understanding; everything from diagrams and 3d graphics, to analogies and anecdotes - maybe even a physical demonstration or two.
