About Millie
I am a dedicated flute tutor passionate about helping students develop both technical skill and creativity. My teaching philosophy combines mentorship, critical thinking, accountability, and creative exploration. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while nurturing expressive playing. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship. Creativity is emphasised through improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling. My goal is to build confidence, discipline, and a love for music in every student. I also teach related subjects such as performance preparation, rhythm, and theory. I teach flute with a focus on creativity, discipline, and thoughtful learning. I believe that students learn best when they are curious, engaged, and supported.
