About Rina
I have spent ten inspiring years empowering more than 400 students to succeed in the fascinating applied branches of mathematics. My academic background includes a degree in mathematics and engineering giving me strong expertise in both the theoretical and practical aspects of applied mathematics. I have worked in engineering consultancy and education developing a teaching style that connects mathematical concepts to real professional challenges. My students have pursued careers in engineering operations research computer science and data analytics. I am particularly skilled at helping students see the relevance of mathematics to practical decision-making and physical problem-solving. I design custom modeling exercises and maintain an extensive collection of applied mathematics problems from engineering business and science contexts. Outside of teaching I participate in engineering outreach programs enjoy mathematical puzzles and sports that involve physical mechanics. I believe that applied mathematics is where abstract thinking meets real-world impact and I am passionate about helping students experience that powerful intersection.

My mathematics teaching is inspiring and diverse covering the applied branches of mechanics decision mathematics and graph theory that show students the breadth of mathematical thinking. For mechanics I teach the modeling of physical situations using vectors forces and motion with extensive problem solving in statics dynamics and moments. Decision mathematics is taught through optimization algorithms network analysis and critical path methods with connections to business and logistics. Graph theory is introduced through the study of networks paths coloring and trees with applications to computer science chemistry and social networks. I emphasize the process of mathematical modeling teaching students to translate real-world situations into mathematical form solve them and interpret results critically. My lessons are highly interactive with students working through problems collaboratively and presenting their solutions to the group. I use technology including simulation software and mathematical modeling tools to enhance understanding of applied concepts. For exam preparation I teach comprehensive coverage of syllabus content with emphasis on the modeling and problem-solving skills that distinguish top grades. I also offer enrichment for students interested in mathematics competitions engineering applications and interdisciplinary projects.
