About Bjarne
I am a 22 year-old student from two European countries (I'm not telling you which ones- I wager that you won't be able to identify a specific accent, but feel free to try) who has grown up bilingual, which gave me a head start in learning languages. I obtained my C2 certificate in English at age 16 and started using English as my principal language in everyday life one and a half years later when I moved to the Netherlands for my studies.
During my time in school, I started tutoring pupils when I was about 14 years old. I started by teaching math, but slowly expanded to other subjects. Here in the Netherlands, I have worked in a café and in a crisis management consultancy company, but also as a teaching assistant at Leiden University for a while. I find it quite easy to teach, as I tend to have an easy time breaking down complex ideas.

I offer help with homework, exam preparation, as well as simply training your listening and speaking skills through conversation, which I personally have found to be both the simplest and most promising way to approach learning new languages (of which I speak 4 fluently). I have prior experience in tutoring middle & high school pupils in multiple subjects.
The lessons I offer last for up to one hour and are aimed at children and youth in middle and high school (forgive me for not knowing all the Dutch acronyms for school forms), so ages roughly up to 18 years old. I will teach at any level from beginner through to advanced, though I do not teach pupils who are already proficient, as my main objective is improving fluency.
