About Jared
I am guessing you came here to learn a little bit about me. Well good news for you, there is a lot to tell! Organic chemistry is now and will forever be my favorite subject in the world.
A little bit about my educational background. I first earned my associates degree at PBSC, followed by earning my B.S in Biochemistry at FAU, and afterwards continued on as a PhD candidate for a year under Dr. Lepore at FAU. A huge part of my education in organic chemistry was conducting undergraduate research under Dr. Lepore for two years.
In the lab, I am the lead PhD student on the development of anti-epileptic drug that is showing promising neuroprotective effects. Through my time as an undergraduate and graduate researcher, I have solidified my foundation on my understanding of organic chemistry. As an undergraduate, I was awarded "Most Outstanding Senior Undergraduate Organic Chemistry Student" by the American Chemical Society, which is only awarded to a few undergraduates in the entire country. My passion does extend past organic chemistry into biochemistry. I love bridging the gap between organic and biochemistry, and most likely will continue to work in drug discovery in the future.
When I took my entrance exams for graduate school, I scored in the 99th percentile in organic chemistry (I even know the two questions I got wrong as well :P)

I pride myself in making organic chemistry the most logical subject with the least amount of memorization possible. Many people have probably heard that this subject will be the most difficult and unbearable subject you will ever take, and for most this is true, but with me, you find that this is the most rewarding and fun subject you will ever have. Every day I get to talk about organic chemistry is a great day, and I will make it yours too.
