• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I became interested in iOS development when I first encountered the game Doodle Jump.
  Seeing the incredible potential of mobile app development sparked my curiosity, and I decided
  to delve deeper into the world of iOS.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I primarily teach SwiftUI, a powerful framework for building user interfaces in iOS
  applications. I particularly enjoy discussing Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture, as it
  provides a structured and scalable way to develop iOS apps. While I teach error handling, I
  must admit it's not my favorite subject, but it's essential for students to understand how to
  handle errors effectively in their code.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  My role models in the iOS development community is Sean Allen. He's a well-known
  YouTuber who has been instrumental in educating and inspiring many aspiring iOS developers,
  including myself. His dedication to teaching and sharing knowledge has motivated me to do
  the same.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  To be a good tutor, patience is key. Teaching can be challenging, and it's important to help
  students grasp complex concepts at their own pace. Additionally, enjoying the act of teaching
  and sharing knowledge is essential because it fosters a positive and engaging learning
  environment.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  One valuable anecdote from my teaching experience involves a student who initially
  struggled with SwiftUI's declarative syntax. Through persistent practice and hands-on
  guidance, they eventually had an "aha" moment and created a beautiful app that they were
  proud of. This moment reminded me of the power of perseverance in learning complex
  subjects.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  One of the ongoing challenges in iOS development is keeping up with the rapid evolution of
  Apple's technology stack. New features and frameworks are introduced regularly, and staying
  current requires continuous learning and adaptation. It's a challenge, but it's also what makes
  the field so exciting.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  My passion lies in both teaching and iOS development. I find immense satisfaction in helping
  students understand complex concepts and watching them grow as developers.
  Simultaneously, I'm deeply passionate about the ever-evolving iOS platform, exploring its
  capabilities, and creating innovative apps.

• What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P)?

  Beyond these interview responses, what makes me a Superprof is my commitment to
  empowering students to become confident iOS developers. I strive to create an engaging and
  supportive learning environment, tailoring my teaching methods to each student's needs. My
  enthusiasm for iOS development and teaching helps me inspire and guide my students
  towards success in the field.
