About Sumit
Hello! I’m Sumit Chakrabarty, a professional visual artist and experienced art tutor with a Master’s degree in Fine Arts (Printmaking). With over 7 years of experience in art education, I’ve worked with learners of all ages, helping them explore their creativity and master various techniques in drawing, printmaking, and design. My teaching approach is built on patience, encouragement, and personalized support. I believe that every learner has a unique artistic voice, and my role is to help nurture that voice through structured guidance and creative freedom. Visual understanding of forms, lines, textures, and space
Exploratory learning, encouraging experimentation with different materials
Art history references to enrich visual thinking
Real-time feedback, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions
Personalized assignments based on student interest and skill level
I also integrate digital tools when appropriate (for design or online drawing), making the lessons adaptable to each learner’s goals.
