About Joshua

Hi! I’m Joshua, a Psychology major at the University of Maryland, minoring in Math and Neuroscience, with a strong passion for helping students succeed, especially in math. I’ve tutored Algebra 1, Calculus BC, and college-level Calculus, and I always focus on making concepts intuitive and manageable. My approach is friendly, patient, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you're feeling stuck or just want to strengthen your skills, I’m here to guide you with clarity and confidence.

About the lesson

I’ve been tutoring for about a year, focusing on building a strong foundation through core concepts and intuitive reasoning. My goal is to help students truly understand the material — not just memorize it — so they feel confident tackling new challenges on their own. I’ve seen students grow in both their knowledge and their grades, and it’s always awesome to watch them gain more confidence with each session.

In each session, I tailor my approach to your needs — whether that means breaking down complex problems step by step, reviewing homework, or prepping for an upcoming test. I always aim to create a supportive and judgment-free space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace.
