About Kavya
Dance has always been something I’ve genuinely enjoyed, and while Kathak is my main area of training, I also love exploring different Indian dance styles, especially Bollywood.
I want to teach because I believe dance should be something everyone can enjoy, regardless of their experience level. I know that starting something new can feel intimidating, especially when you feel like you’re “not a dancer,” and I want to create a space where students can learn without feeling pressured to be perfect.
Whether you want to learn Kathak from the basics, pick up a Bollywood choreography, prepare for a performance, or simply experiment with a new style, I’d love to help you discover what you enjoy and become more confident in your dancing!

My dance lessons are all about learning, experimenting and having fun while building confidence in your movement!
I have trained in Kathak for 4 years and hold a certification in the style, so I can teach students the fundamentals of Kathak, including basic footwork, hand movements, expressions and simple compositions.
Alongside Kathak, I enjoy learning and experimenting with different Indian dance styles, especially Bollywood. I’m also happy to teach choreography based on what YOU want to learn whether it’s a Bollywood song, a specific performance, a trending routine, or simply something fun to try.
My lessons are personalised to your experience and comfort level. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some dance experience, we can work at your pace and create routines that you genuinely enjoy dancing to.
Most importantly, you don’t need to be a “natural dancer” to start. I want my classes to be a comfortable space where you can learn, make mistakes, experiment and enjoy the process!
