About Kiana

In my lessons I take a personalised and tailored approach, finding similarities between topics that the student finds easy and ones that they find difficult. This makes chemistry seem more manageable. Most importantly I'm aware that the pressure of exams can be overwhelming, and I work to create a positive and non-judgemental environment for students where they can feel relaxed and comfortable to ask questions at their own pace.

About the lesson

Chemistry can be an enjoyable subject once you begin to understand it - I know this from experience! By tutoring I want to help others enjoy chemistry just like I did because not only is chemistry a vital subject in many university courses but it can also be applied in real life!
In our lessons, we will begin by going over the theory and making sure the student understands it well before moving onto past paper questions directly from the SQA. This is so that the student can become comfortable with the wording of questions and be confident in their answers.
