About Saffy
I’m an award winning London-based Knitwear Designer and Textile Artist with a first class degree from Central Saint Martins.

I produce pieces both by hand in my South London studio and in small batches with UK manufacturers.
Alongside my own brand, I’ve worked on projects for brands including Burberry, JW Anderson, Tommy Hilfiger and Spotify as well as creating knitted prop pieces for creative and production work. I have an expert understanding of knitting and crochet, from construction and pattern writing to design development and production.
I enjoy breaking down complex techniques into something clear and practical, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to develop your own designs or portfolio.
Lessons take place online or in my London studio.

I offer knitting and crochet lessons for beginners through to more advanced makers, with a focus on building real understanding rather than just following steps.
For beginners, I cover core techniques like casting on, stitch fundamentals, reading patterns, and finishing. For more experienced students, lessons can focus on improving confidence, troubleshooting projects, and developing more complex skills.
I also support students who want to go further with their practice. This includes learning how to read and write knitting patterns, understanding garment construction, and developing your own designs.
For those applying to art or design courses, I offer portfolio feedback and guidance, helping you refine your work and present it clearly.
Lessons are tailored to your goals, whether that’s making your first piece, improving your technique, or building a body of work.
