About Nicholas

In 2021, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Global Studies, itself essentially a degree in international political science. I am thus very educated on contemporary global politics, global dynamics, and international relations. In addition to this, I have an excellent understanding of how events in certain countries and regions actually affect and reflect larger global happenings and movements that influence our daily lives and activities here in the individual countries that we live.

I pride myself on making sure that my students not only begin to develop an understanding of history but also begin to learn more about why it is so important to understand history. I think that if more people knew what has happened in the past, they would be more likely to want to create a better (and brighter) future for themselves and everyone else.

With writing tutoring, I want to make sure that my students develop their voice as a writer and learn how to satisfy the requirement of all types of writing, which is to be able to effectively get a point across so that your reader and your audience will be able to understand what you mean and what you are trying to say.

And finally, with politics and government tutoring, I want my students to gain a knowledge of the political systems and institutions that they live under so that they can learn how to be good citizens who participate in their government and who are not apathetic.

About the lesson

What sets me apart as a tutor is my understanding of how history relates to the present day and how systems of government and politics here in the United States relate to systems all over the world, and the world as a whole!

The average lesson will begin by going over the plan for the session, and understanding what needs to be accomplished by the end of the session. This would take around 5 minutes. After that we will hit the ground running and help you achieve what you need to achieve for the remaining time in the session!

It is very hard to find a tutor who is knowledgeable about many different types of history; most history tutors have a specialty where they really only know a lot about a certain type of history. With me, I am very knowledgeable about everything from US history to European history to World history, and from time periods ranging from Ancient history to 20th century history and so on. I am also an experienced writer, having written approximately 50 highly graded academic papers in my undergraduate career. In addition to this, I have a good depth of knowledge about US politics, US government and Civics.

I believe that I can teach anyone from post-graduate adults who are interested in getting their US citizenship down to college students, middle schoolers and high schoolers who are struggling with history, government, and writing.
