About Marie
My name is Marie, I am a Master of Linguistics graduate who lived in Korea for almost 7 years. Now back in Australia I would love to put my talent to use by sharing my Korean knowledge with eager language learners. As a native Australian I can explain how Korean works from an English-speaker's perspective to help beginners get a grasp of the different grammar faster, and can also introduce my students to the culture differences and very specific details to look out for to become excellent at Korean.

After tutoring for almost a decade, I am convinced that there is no single perfect method to language learning/teaching, because we are all so different. In my first lesson I would focus on getting to know what leaning-type you are and what motivates you to learn Korean. Setting goals is key when learning a language. Depending on your interests we can then focus on specific areas.
