About Zoe
I'm an English tutor supporting students at KS3, GCSE, and A-level English Literature. I am currently studying Occupational Therapy at university and hold an A in A-level English Literature.
I have a strong interest in learning, communication, and helping students build confidence in their abilities. I achieved an A in A-level English Literature, which is where my passion for the subject really developed.
I enjoy working with students one-to-one because it allows me to adapt my teaching to how they think and learn best. My approach is calm, structured, and supportive, and I focus on helping students feel more in control of English by breaking down essays, exam questions, and texts into clear, manageable steps. I believe building confidence is key, so we can find learning fun! I find it rewarding to see students go from feeling unsure to becoming more confident in how they approach their work.
My sessions are online and tailored to each student, whether they need steady support, targeted exam preparation, or help building stronger writing skills.

I use a structured but supportive approach to tutoring, focusing on helping students to understand and enjoy learning, rather than just memorising content. My aim is to build confidence with exam skills, analysis, and written expression, so students feel more comfortable tackling questions independently.
My teaching style usually involves breaking down exam questions together, modelling strong answers, and then guiding students as they practise on their own. I also focus on key exam techniques such as how to structure essays, develop analysis, and use evidence effectively.
Sessions are tailored to the student’s current level and goals, whether that’s improving grades, building confidence, or preparing for exams. A typical lesson lasts 1 hour, longer sessions are available if needed, especially around exam season.
I have achieved an A in A-level English Literature and have experience tutoring English at KS3 and GCSE level, helping students improve their understanding and exam performance. I am also comfortable supporting A-level English Literature students with essay structure, analysis, and text understanding.
My lessons are suitable for KS3, GCSE (English literature and language), and A-level English students (Literature).
