About Sophie
I’m currently studying French at university in Manchester, I’ve studied languages all my life and come from a multicultural background. I’ve taught English and French (varying levels) to children and young adults over the last couple of years and enjoyed doing so.

I tend to base my teaching off conversational practice if students haven’t brought their own materials/homework, and then build from there. So, depending on what level they seem to be at and what their aims are, I can focus in on grammar or simply build up a rapport to build confidence in speaking. If I’m asked to help with written skills I’m very happy to do so and tend to try to increase complexity of phrases substantially even in one exercise to help build understanding - quality over quantity.
