About Berin

Being a tutor will allow me to enhance my communication skills through connecting with younger years and aiding them with help with their English. In addition to the support and help I will be providing to students, I will self-develop and gain self-confidence when working with them in a professional learning environment. I am aware of the impact teachers are able to have on their students. I, therefore, would like to be part of a student’s education by inspiring and encouraging them to reach their full potential.

I believe my commitment to bettering society from its need in aiding students and being part of their learning experience, will make me a great asset as a tutor.

About the lesson

My techniques and methodology are all based around doing what is best for the student I am teaching. I will base my lessons around what their goals and ambitions are. This will allow for me to set out clearly what my expectations and goals are from him, and what my student's expectations are from me. I believe this is the best way to communicate effectively and bring the best learning hour/s for them!

I have a 2:1 Law degree from the University of Sussex. I am going to be studying the LPC and LLM (Masters in Law) at the University of Law.
I have 4 A Levels in Turkish, Sociology, Psychology and Politics and Government.

My qualifications make me an ideal candidate to be able to teach English (achieved an A in GCSE).
I am also excited to teach Sociology.

Breaking down chunks of information, and making it more understandable for children is an unconscious skill I have now developed. Understanding student’s needs are measurable and manageable, with clear and sequential instructions. The importance of having things clearly explained to children in a way that they can process is a skill I have developed as a Legal Advisor.

In addition to this, during my time at sixth form, I was strongly committed to acting as a role model for other members our school community. This has involved mentoring younger students, helping organise school events, and performing additional responsibilities as a House Captain. I was also a Librarian Assistant during my lunch hour to help assist children with issuing books and helping them on the computer desktops. This commitment stems from an understanding that ‘it takes a village to raise a child’, and that our communities are stronger and more sustained when we take the time to nurture these values.
