About Shivam
With over 10 years of prior private tutoring experience, I graduated Teacher Training with a PGCE Distinction in Secondary Science from the University of Nottingham. I now teach Physics, Chemistry and Biology at one of the top schools in the UK. I am highly dedicated to ensuring that my students achieve the very best of their ability. I teach KS3, GCSE and A-level, and have had exceptional levels of success thanks to my tailored approach of scaffolding and broad range of teaching pedagogy.

Having taught the GCSE and A-level syllabuses from start to finish for a number of years now, my lesson plans are highly structured and tailored to each student. I employ a wide range of teaching tools, and at my last school was appointed leader of a ‘Digital Triad’, a trio of teachers identified for their novel and effective deployment of technology in the classroom. With the turn of COVID-19 it was vital to ensure that the learning gap that had been created was narrowed, and students were brought back on track to complete their education and maintain high results. I was responsible for implementing several new digital platforms and resources into classroom environments, and this experience has elevated my private tutoring ability significantly.
Assessments and homework are set at an appropriate level to each student - enough to ensure total success without impinging on the already demanding workload that school provides.
