• When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

  I began practicing chess at the age of 11 in 2013. My journey into chess started at school, where I was quite an active and energetic boy. My teacher noticed that channeling my energy into a structured activity like chess would help me develop patience and focus. Over time, chess helped me become more calm and thoughtful, teaching me to think carefully and avoid rushing into decisions.

• Which artists or works affect you the most?

  I’m profoundly influenced by the story of Bobby Fischer. His dedication to chess, his relentless pursuit of excellence, and the sacrifices he made to become a world champion are truly inspiring. Fischer’s journey reminds me of the passion and perseverance required in chess and beyond.

• What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

  To succeed in chess, patience is essential. It’s not just about the lessons you have with me; it’s about the dedication to self-improvement. You need to consistently work on your own, solving puzzles and analyzing games to develop your unique way of thinking. Persistence, self-discipline, and a willingness to learn from mistakes are also key qualities.

• What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

  In chess, consistency and practice are key. One valuable piece of advice is to focus on solving puzzles regularly and analyzing your games in depth. This not only sharpens your tactical skills but also helps you develop a deeper understanding of strategic patterns. Another important tip is to maintain a steady routine of practice and reflection, ensuring that you learn from every game. Staying curious and resilient will help you keep your focus and continuously improve.

• How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

  My passion for chess is deeply fulfilling and invigorating. It’s not just a game; it’s a journey of continuous growth and self-discovery. Each match and every puzzle fuels my curiosity and sharpens my strategic thinking. It brings a sense of calm and focus, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see progress over time. Ultimately, chess makes me feel both challenged and inspired.

• What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

  I’m proud of several milestones in my chess journey. One notable achievement was ranking fifth in my category under 16 in 2017, which was a significant milestone for me. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of competing against and defeating international masters and candidate masters, and I hold the title of Arena FIDE Master. Perhaps my proudest accomplishment is training a young girl who went on to win the championship in her category under 16. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding and inspiring.

• Have you ever been surprised by a student, by their ability or quick progression?

  Absolutely! One of the most gratifying experiences I’ve had was training a young girl who started from scratch and, within just one year, not only achieved a 1600 rating but also won the championship in her category. Witnessing her rapid progress and dedication was truly inspiring and a wonderful surprise

• Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

  My secret lies in consistent and structured guidance. I carefully track each student’s progress every week, revisiting what we covered in previous lessons and building upon it. I always provide a clear plan of tactics and strategies, ensuring that everything is organized and transparent for the student. This approach helps keep the learning process clear, focused, and effective.
