About George

I'm a native speaker, born and raised here in London, from immigrant parents. As a child I saw the struggles of my family when it came to the English language, I would have to read their letters, accompany them to appointments and help them learn English, this is what inspired me to become a teacher. The importance of learning English for work, university and just to be able to communicate with native speakers. I truly understand the struggles a student has when they start a new life/language and it's my goal to help them achieve their dreams without taking advantage of their money/time. I strive to get the best results as quick as possible and will work hard with each individual student.

About the lesson

I am a qualified CELTA & DELTA teacher, who has many years of experience. I work as an IELTS examiner and have worked many years in a class room. In a class room, you can make friends and share a coffee but it's very hard for each student to reach their goal as the aims of each student are different and so are their strengths and weaknesses. Also in a class room you find that schools place mix ability levels so as to economize. Teaching privately allows the teacher to concentrate just on the one student getting the results they need much faster and at a lower cost. Also arrange monthly gatherings so students can meet and socialize.
Each Lesson is 1.5 hours, free trial lesson. Lesson can be held in the comfort of your own home or online.

Fabulous teacher. I came to England last year, my English was pre intermediate level. In Greece I was a doctor and for me to get my licence in the UK I needed Band 8 IELTS (Advanced level). I had 3 hours a week with George and after only 5 months I got my IELTS and in November I will start working in London. Very good teacher, listens and understands each students needs and designs perfect lessons for each student. I have no words to thank him enough!
