About Lucy
I have a diverse background and range of skills to offer as an English language teacher. For 6 years I conducted speech and drama classes for children aged 5-15 in various schools in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney. I have loved using many of the same drama games and speech exercises in my classes to help students build confidence, master presentation skills and generally have fun!
In addition to my teaching skills, I co-founded and managed a niche finance business. For 5 years I was immersed in the world of business, finance, accounting and law. From this experience, I really enjoy assisting students with business English.
I have recently been teaching adult conversation classes (English) at a language school in Switzerland.

I have a lifelong appreciation of languages thanks to my migrant grandparents. I feel this helps me connect with my students as I try to offer a unique and enjoyable learning experience.
My classes (both private and group) can be designed to suit my students' needs. Whether it is a fun and relaxed atmosphere or a more focussed and rigorous study environment, I am adaptable and will tailor the teaching accordingly. I offer specific skill classes such as business and conversational English. Instruction is offered at all levels of proficiency from low-level beginners to advanced students.
Most importantly I am very approachable, patient and understanding and keen to help you achieve your language learning goals....and have FUN while you learn!
