About Jyotirmoy
I’m Jyotirmoy Biswas, a passionate vocalist, performer, and researcher of Hindustani Classical Music, currently pursuing my Master of Performing Arts (MPA) from Sangit Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan. Music has been more than a subject to me — it’s a lifelong sadhana, a spiritual and emotional journey. From performing classical-based pieces on television (Aakashe Superstars) to presenting research on Raga aesthetics and cinema, my path has been a fusion of tradition and innovation. I want to share this art because I believe classical music is for everyone — not just for a select few. I’m here to make it accessible, relatable, and deeply personal for each learner, no matter their background or experience level. Teaching is my way of giving back to the tradition that has shaped me. If I can spark even a single student's love for Raga, or help them find confidence in their voice, it’s a joy worth more than applause. Let’s learn, explore, and grow — one swar at a time.
