About Samantha
I studied music theory, vocal pedagogy, and music education at PSCC and MTSU. I was a singer/songwriter growing up. I studied music theory and vocal pedagogy at PSCC and received my Associate's Degree in Fine Arts with the plan of becoming a music teacher. I fell in love with audio production while in college and learned how to produce music on the side and have been producing ever since. I have been producing music seriously using Ableton Live for 6 years and have released my own music under the name Dear Mercy. I have a passion for teaching and dispelling the myth that audio production has to be difficult.

I love music and I love teaching. With me you will learn the fundamentals of production, how to use Ableton Live , and apply what you learn to every song you do.
Lessons start with us discussing your goals and becoming familiar with your DAW, then we move on to learning compression and EQ which are essential to making great mixes. From there we can work on your song together and learn things like reverb, routing, sends, distortion, and all the other layers to audio production.
I know what it takes to learn to produce your own music because I have been where you are staring at Ableton Live wondering if I can actually make my song sound the way I want it to. It is easier than you think and I am here to help you.
