About Sam
Hi, I'm Sam – a professional working musician, pianist and musical director with years of experience performing, directing and teaching.
Throughout my career I've worked as a Musical Director for theatre productions, performed professionally on cruise ships, and taught piano to students of all ages and abilities. My passion has always been helping people discover the joy of making music, whether they're aiming for the stage or simply want to play for themselves.
I'm also neurodivergent and largely taught myself to play the piano. Because of this, I understand that everyone learns differently. There isn't one "right" way to learn, and I believe lessons should be adapted to fit each student's strengths, interests and way of thinking.
Whether you want to learn by ear, play your favourite songs, build confidence with improvisation, or follow a more traditional route with sheet music and music theory, I'll help you develop the skills to achieve your goals in a relaxed, encouraging environment where enjoying music always comes first.

Every lesson is tailored to you. Whether you're a complete beginner, returning to the piano after years away, or looking to build your confidence, we'll learn at a pace that suits your goals and the way you learn best.
Lessons are available online or in person and can focus on whatever inspires you most. Want to play your favourite songs by ear? Learn the latest pop hits? Improvise, accompany yourself singing, or follow the traditional route with sheet music and music theory? We can do all of it.
I create a relaxed, supportive environment where making music is enjoyable rather than stressful. With experience supporting neurodivergent learners, lessons are flexible, engaging, and designed around each individual's strengths, helping every student develop confidence while having fun at the piano.
