Why do I love teaching? Because it’s more than just words—it’s about connecting people, helping them discover new cultures, and having a bit of fun along the way. Seeing someone light up when they "get it" is why I do this!

About the lesson

Privet! My name is Diana, your soon-to-be favorite Russian teacher. I grew up in Tallinn, Estonia, but in a Russian-speaking family, which means I can give you the Russian language and the cold Baltic stare that comes free with every lesson! Don't worry, it’s friendly… mostly.

I’ve taught Russian before while volunteering abroad, and whether it was teaching kids to say "Please" instead of just "Gimme!" or helping adults not sound like James Bond villains when ordering borscht, I’ve done it all. So, buckle up! Learning Russian with me will be fun, useful, and—let’s be honest—a bit of an adventure!

My approach? Fun, flexible, and practical—with a little bit of attitude. You won’t just memorize words; you’ll use them in conversations, role-playing, and daily scenarios.

- Games and activities for kids to keep things playful while learning basic phrases.

- Conversational practice for adults, so you can confidently order coffee, ask for directions, or debate Tolstoy without sweating it. (And, yes, if you’re interested, I can teach you how to swear in Russian with absolute precision. You’ll learn all the best curse words, just in case you ever need to express yourself… passionately.)

I also focus on cultural nuances, so you won’t just learn the language, but how to sound like a natural!

Each lesson typically lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour—long enough to cover solid ground, but short enough so your brain doesn’t fry. For younger students, I sometimes offer 30-minute sessions to match their attention span.

My Qualifications/Experience
Raised in a Russian-speaking family in Tallinn, Estonia.
Volunteer experience teaching Russian abroad to both kids and adults.
Plenty of real-life experience teaching the “everyday Russian” you’ll actually need—whether you’re a beginner or want to fine-tune your skills.
