About Suganya

Hello! My name is Suganya Sivakumar, and I am a passionate native Tamil speaker from Tamil Nadu. A few years ago, I moved to the UK, I’ve been teaching Tamil to people who share my love for the language. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Science and have been teaching Tamil since 2014. I’ve had the privilege of working with students from all walks of life, helping them achieve fluency in Tamil. I understand that each student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit your individual needs. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I will guide you step by step to reach your language goals. Having grown up in Tamil Nadu and now living in the UK, I bring an authentic perspective to the lessons. I can help you understand not only the language but also the culture, traditions, and various dialects that make Tamil unique. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I have successfully taught students of all ages and proficiency levels. My approach focuses on building confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Tamil. I am here to guide you at every step and help you overcome any hurdles along the way. About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centred and highly flexible, designed to suit individual learning styles. I focus on creating a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I also use storytelling, role-playing, and real-world scenarios to encourage active communication and reinforce learning. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, allowing enough time for thorough explanations, practice, and Q&A. However, I am flexible and can adjust the duration based on the student's needs and goals. I also offer the option of shorter or longer sessions if required. I am a native Tamil speaker from Tamil Nadu, with a Bachelor's degree in Science. I have been teaching Tamil since 2014, helping students of all levels—from beginners to advanced learners—gain proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the language. My experience includes teaching both children and adults, and I tailor lessons according to their specific needs, whether for academic purposes, cultural enrichment, or professional growth. My lessons are suitable for students of all ages, from children to adults, and I teach all levels—from absolute beginners to advanced learners.
