About Margin
For me, teaching guitar is about helping students tell their stories through music. With Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music, I combine professional training with a passion for creative expression. My lessons begin with foundational techniques such as posture, finger placement, chord transitions, rhythm, and tone, before advancing to improvisation, composition, and expressive playing. I integrate music theory into lessons in practical, real-world ways, connecting concepts to songs students enjoy. Each session is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and interests, creating a motivating, supportive environment. I emphasise technical skill, creativity, and performance confidence equally. My curriculum includes ear training, sight-reading, and improvisation exercises to develop well-rounded musicianship. I encourage students to explore genres from classical and jazz to contemporary rock, blues, and pop. I provide detailed feedback, structured practice routines, and strategies to overcome challenges. My approach balances discipline with artistic freedom, ensuring lessons are both productive and inspiring. I celebrate milestones and foster perseverance, patience, and self-expression. Students learn to communicate emotion and personality through their playing. Over time, learners develop confidence, skill, and their own musical voice. Teaching guitar is not just instruction for me—it’s mentorship, inspiration, and collaboration. My ultimate goal is to help students express themselves fully and authentically through music.

My guitar lessons help students of all levels turn their musical goals into reality. I start by teaching posture, rhythm, and chord transitions for a strong foundation. Then, we move into scales, lead techniques, and improvisation. I integrate theory naturally into each topic so it feels simple and useful. Lessons include a mix of practice routines, popular songs, and creative exercises. Students learn about tone, dynamics, and performance confidence. Feedback is consistent, ensuring steady improvement after every class. I adjust lesson plans to fit your pace and personal music style. You’ll gain fluency in both rhythm and melody playing. Whether your aim is to play live or record music, I’ll help you get there. Lessons make learning rewarding, structured, and deeply musical.
