* First, I like to find out the areas that my student is struggling in and find any gaps that need to be closed in order to make them successful. * My lessons are for Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. * Depending on the subject, reading, I would use Heggarty, UFLI, flashcards, hands-on activities. Math, I would use whiteboards, paper and pencils, manipulatives. *The lessons are planned to fit the students' needs. If they need help with sounding out CVC words, first they need to know letter sounds. If they need help with reading a book, first they need to know sight words and sounding out letters. Math - start with the basics of number recognition and then move forward to what makes up a number (tens and ones), moving to adding single-digit numbers to two-digit numbers. Same with subtraction.
