About Sydné
Hi, I’m Sydné! I’m a qualified Foundation Phase teacher with a BEd from Stellenbosch University, completed cum laude, and a 150-hour TEFL certificate.
I have three years of teaching experience, including teaching Kindergarten and Grade 1 using the American curriculum in Kuwait. I currently work as a Grade R teaching assistant at Kirstenhof Primary School.
I love helping children discover that they can do things they once found difficult! My approach is warm, patient and encouraging. I prepare lessons carefully and adapt them to each learner, helping children feel comfortable, build confidence and enjoy learning.

My lessons turn learning into an adventure! I offer online English, phonics, reading and maths lessons for Foundation Phase learners, especially children in Grades R–3, including those learning English as an additional language. I teach in English.
As a qualified BEd teacher with experience teaching Kindergarten and Grade 1 in Kuwait, I bring a patient, creative approach to every lesson. I use games, pictures, stories and practical activities to help children understand new concepts and build confidence.
A typical lesson starts with a fun warm-up, followed by a focused activity, guided practice and a quick recap to celebrate progress. I adapt each lesson to your child’s needs, interests and pace, creating a welcoming space where questions are encouraged and every small achievement matters.
