About Alfie
Hi, I’m Alfie. I’m a recent sixth-form student who achieved A*AA at A-level and will be studying Economics & International Economics at the University of Nottingham from September.
I studied Economics, Business and PE at A-level and was fortunate to receive an academic and sports scholarship at Ipswich School. I’ve always enjoyed understanding how things work, particularly in economics and business, and I enjoy helping others develop that same understanding.
Having only recently completed my A-levels, I understand the pressures students face and the difference that good exam technique, preparation and confidence can make. I aim to create a friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
Outside of academics, I have a strong interest in sport and have played rugby for many years. I’m looking forward to continuing my studies at university while helping other students achieve their own academic goals.

My lessons are friendly, relaxed and tailored to each student. I focus on making difficult topics easy to understand before applying them to exam-style questions. Lessons are typically 1 hour and include explanations, practice questions and detailed feedback.
Having recently achieved A*AA at A-level and studied Economics and Business, I understand the current exam experience and what is required to achieve strong grades. I tutor Year 12 and Year 13 students, adapting each lesson to their ability, weaknesses and target grade.
My aim is to build both subject knowledge and exam confidence, helping students understand not just what the answer is, but how to structure their answers to maximise marks.
