About Varad
Hi! My name is Varad: I'm a 17 year old student currently studying Maths and Further Maths at one of the highest rated secondary schools in the UK.
My own journey with maths has shown me how much of a difference the right support and explanation can make. When I was younger, I didn’t always find maths easy, and some topics felt confusing or overwhelming at first. However, with patience, perseverance, and the right teaching approach, I was able to build my confidence and develop a real passion for the subject.
This experience is one of the reasons I enjoy tutoring today. I understand that every student learns differently, and I want to provide the same kind of support that helped me: breaking down difficult ideas into simple steps, encouraging questions, and helping students realise that they are capable of improving. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable learning while still pushing themselves to achieve their goals.

I know that maths can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when topics become more challenging, but I believe every problem can be broken down into smaller steps that anyone can understand.
My lessons focus on building confidence, improving problem-solving skills, and explaining ideas in a way that makes sense rather than just memorising methods. I aim to create a relaxed and friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
I offer lessons for GCSE Mathematics and Additional Maths students in Years 9, 10, and 11, whether you are looking for extra support, aiming to improve your grades, or wanting to push yourself further. Every student is welcome, no matter their current ability level. Sessions typically last 1 hour, and I will always adapt lessons to suit each student’s goals and needs.
