About Miguel

He started studying as a guitar player in 2003/2004, at the Instituto de Estudos Musicais, in São João da Madeira under the guidance of Professor Daniel Fonseca. In 2014 he joined the Conservatory of Music at Jobra, attending the String and Keyboard Instrumentalist Course under the guidance of Professor Paulo Margaça, ending the same with the approval of 17 values. As a guitar player, he performed at several venues such as: Albergaria-a-Velha (Cineteatro Alba), Aveiro (Teatro Aveirense), Cantanhede (Auditorium of the Municipal Library), Bragança (Municipal Theater), Porto (Casa da Música), Murtosa (Auditorium) Municipal), Santa Maria da Feira (Cineteatro António Lamoso), Oeiras (Auditorium Eunice Muñoz), Belém (Sala Amália Rodrigues) among others. In the field of Chamber Music, he is a member of the Tang'Art sextet, having performed with this formation in some of the main national cultural centers, such as Centro Cultural de Belém (Dias da Música 2016) and Casa da Música (Summer in House 2016). At the same time, he is a member of the Guitar Duo "Los Pacos" and the Guitar Trio "Hu-Mi-Ti", having performed at various musical moments with both groups throughout the country. Presently, it has workshops and training with several teachers such as: Artur Caldeira (Portugal), Guilherme Barroso (Brazil), Miguel Carvalhinho (Portugal), Ricardo Barceló (Ibero-Uruguay), Daniel Wolff (Brazil), Redmond O ' Tolle (Ireland), Francisco Gil (Mexico), Antonio Fruscella (Italy), Márlou Peruzzolo (Brazil) and Pablo Dalmacio (Argentina). With regard to the soloist aspect, he has 2 awards internally from the institute he attended, relative to triumphs of distinction and merit to that competing in his III, IV and V in the "Guitarradas” contest. In addition to his work as a guitarist, he has also participated in collaborations with the Gulbenkian Choir, under the direction of conductors António Vassalo Lourenço alongside of the Beiras Orchestra. Continuously, he also worked with relevant conductors, such as André Granjo, Luís Carvalho, Paulo Bernardino and Hernâni Petiz, currently finishing the Degree in Music (Performance) at the University of Aveiro, in the class of Profes Pedro Rodrigues and Professor Paulo Vaz de Carvalho.
