About Glenda
I'm a BSocSci (Hons) graduate from Rhodes University and majored in Linguistics and Politics (undergraduate subjects included Psychology & French). In my third year, I was awarded the Terrace Beard prize for being the top student in Politics and in my Honours year, I received the Promising Young Researcher award from the Linguistics department for having the best research presentation. I been tutoring students for 3 years now, and these include primary school, high school and university students. I'm interested in tutoring because it brings joy to see students grasping concepts and developing in their learning journey. I'd love to facilitate this development and actualisation for my students.

My tutoring method is demonstrating the usefulness of a subject to the students, how it relates to their personal lives, while also making it fun. I also enjoy showing links between subjects and the things that the students are interested in themselves, such as pop stars, their favourite sports, etc. I tutor in English and my lessons are aimed at students who want to improve their confidence with aspects of English, French, and University Humanities subjects. Students can expect consistent feedback and encouragement towards their learning goals, as well as additional materials from reputable sources to deepen their knowledge.
