A TYPICAL LESSON starts with a short warm up.
- Next, a quick REVIEW of what was learned in the last lesson.
- Next, depending on the student's WANTS and NEEDS, we may engage in vocabulary building/speaking exercises.
- Next, depending on the student's level, we usually practice verb tense conjugation/speaking exercises.
- Next, we will have some sort of question and answer session.
- Next, open conversation using photos or other topics of interest.
- Finally, I will usually give the student some homework covering new topics that were introduced.
Again, according to the wants and needs of the student, we may also practice IELTS Testing Skills, Mock Job Interviews, Presentations, or Reading Outloud using reading materials that the student is interested in such as World News, Harry Potter, et cetera.
All lessons include Observable Objectives in the Cognitive, Psychomotor, and Affective Domains.

My teaching METHODS AND TECHNIQUES are designed to make you speak. (I'm not a lecturer; you don't need that.) I use a wide variety of tools to get you to speak including, Internet discussions, games, photos, and more. Also, I use a diagnostic approach to help strengthen your weak areas in grammar and pronunciation. We start with "close-ended" questions, and end with "open-ended" questions.
