- I like to provide PowerPoint slides to explain the topic. I then like to read through the material with the students and ask them what they understand and ask them questions about the topic. I like to provide practice quizzes and questions to ensure that my student understands and grasps the topic excellently. I also like to give my students topics to create informative presentations on in order to give them a chance to present their level of comprehension and comfort with the topic. For essay writing, I give my students topics to write essays about and provide constructive feedback. Furthermore, I like to have workshops to practice proper paragraph and essay structures with my students.
- My lessons usually last 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
- I have been tutoring English Literature and English to 12-16-year-olds for over five years. I currently volunteer at the Leeds Refugee Forum as an English tutor. I was an English tutor at my high school and I was the head of the English Language Department for student tutors.
