Riya is a respected tutor in our community. She is highly recommended for her commitment and the quality of her lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Riya
I’m a friendly and patient English tutor who believes learning works best when you feel relaxed and comfortable. Many students feel nervous speaking English, so my priority is to create a supportive space where you can practise without pressure and build confidence step by step.
I adapt every lesson to you — your goals, your level, and your pace. Whether you want conversation practice, clearer pronunciation, or help with grammar, I explain things simply and give real examples so the language makes sense and feels natural to use.
I care about progress, but also about enjoyment. Lessons are structured and organised, yet relaxed and encouraging. You can ask questions anytime, make mistakes freely, and leave each class knowing exactly what you improved and what to work on next.
My aim is not only to teach English, but to help you feel comfortable actually using it in everyday life.

My approach to teaching English
My lessons are communication-focused and practical. I don’t rely on memorising long grammar rules — I teach you how to use English naturally in real conversations. Grammar is explained simply and then practised through speaking, listening, and real-life scenarios so it becomes automatic.
I adapt each class to the student. Some learners need confidence speaking, others need accuracy for work or exams, so I adjust the pace, materials, and homework accordingly.
Techniques & methodology
• Speaking-first approach (you talk most of the lesson)
• Error correction with clear explanations
• Role-plays and real situations (interviews, travel, meetings, daily life)
• Pronunciation training and natural expressions
• Vocabulary building through conversation, not word lists
• Optional homework and revision practice between lessons
Lesson length:
Typical lessons last 60 minutes.
(45 or 90 minute sessions available if preferred)
Qualifications & experience
I am an experienced tutor working with learners from different language backgrounds. I regularly help students improve fluency, pronunciation, and confidence in everyday and professional English.
Who my lessons are for
• Teenagers and adults
• Beginners to upper-intermediate learners
• Professionals needing workplace English
• People preparing for travel or relocation
• Students wanting conversational practice
My goal is simple: after every lesson you should feel more confident speaking than you did before.

I met Riya through a friend's recommendation as I was looking for someone to teach my child 6th grade English. She is an incredibly patient tutor and took her time to ensure that my daughter truly understood each concept. Since she started tutoring, I have seen my kid enjoy learning! She creates a comfortable and encouraging environment which has helped me see a significant improvement in my daughter's grades. I am very grateful for her positive impact and would gladly recommend her to other parents!
Riya taught me the English modules for my competitive English exam. She was very patient, kind, and attentive towards me and helped me get even better. I highly recommend getting taught by her!
