About Rachel
My name is Rachel and I am a university student!
I currently study Neuroscience, so closely related to both English and Science. My interest in English has always come from books. I have loved reading ever since I can remember and it has always been my main hobby.
I studied in the States recently which was an amazing experience and one which allowed me to gain even more skills and knowledge in my academics.

English tutoring is a very broad title so let me dive deeper into my specialties. Essay and story writing have always been my strong points, alongside critical thinking and close reading. Although I am young and was not long ago a high school student myself, throughout my time studying the subject I feel I developed great techniques which allowed me to gain the best understanding of the tasks at hand.
We often learn that English is subject you are either naturally good at or you're not, however, I believe with the right teaching styles and learning techniques, anyone can learn the skills needed to improve their learning in English.
It is understandable to be wary of a young student tutor, however, I believe my age puts me in a beneficial position as I have a clear understanding of the recent examinations and ways of testing. Plus it's much easier to feel comfortable with a tutor nearer your own age!
I recently just returned from studying abroad in the United States for university, where I trained and worked as an English tutor for my fellow university students. The training itself allowed me to develop my skills in English and communication.
I do not have a specified length of the lesson, this is something to discuss with each individual as it is solely based on the content we focus on and I can work with any age range, but while tutoring I have discovered the ages most comfortable working with another student is 20 or below.
