About Anya

I am a mental health counselor who missed my teaching calling in math. I love what I do, but I also love math and have always been good at it. Math has always been fun for me. It is everywhere.

About the lesson

The first thing is meeting a student where they are and understanding their disconnect- what it is that they do not understand about what they are trying to learn. Once learning the disconnect, it is a matter of breaking the material down and helping them to learn step by step. Patience is key in helping others to learn.
