About Bill
I've earned my Master's in Electronic Music and Digital Media from Mills College, one of the world's most prestigious programs. I've been signed to Capitol Records, Parlophone, and numerous other labels. I've run music venues, produced albums for others, written songs, engineered, and won awards for my music journalism.
In short, if it's music-related, I've likely had some experience with it.

We begin with an initial consultation. What are you trying to learn? What is your goal?
From there, I will create a customized lesson plan that can have weekly, monthly, and yearly goals.
I strongly believe in project-based learning --, i.e., learning through *doing*. So we set out to create the songs we want to hear, the beats we want, the album production.
A typical lesson will involve listening, reviewing the assigned work, and giving numerous examples of those who've done it before. Every lesson will come with a custom packet of notes, examples, and reference materials.
I've taught songwriting classes to high school students, music engineering to college students, earned my master's, and more. I've spent over 20 years in the music industry, at every level and doing almost every different job. This gives me a unique perspective and I can convey that directly to you.
