About Hugo
Qualified Maths teacher. I am an Early Career Teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics and QTS, with experience teaching from KS3 through to A-level.
Engineering background. Before teaching, I worked in roofing, engineering and technical design, giving me a practical approach to Maths and problem-solving.
Patient and adaptable. I enjoy finding different ways to explain a problem and helping students become more confident and independent, whether they are struggling with a topic or looking for an extra challenge.

Lessons tailored to you. I adapt my explanations, questions and level of challenge to each student’s understanding, confidence and goals. If one approach isn’t working, we’ll try another.
Understanding, not just answers. We can work on difficult topics, fill gaps in knowledge, practise exam questions or tackle more challenging problems to push your Maths further.
Clear, interactive online teaching. I use a drawing tablet to work through solutions and diagrams live, alongside tools such as Desmos and GeoGebra when they help make concepts clearer.
