About Marcus
My name is Marcus Garna, and I've been playing piano for over 20 years. I studied classical piano and later developed a deep passion for film music and contemporary composition. I've performed in recitals, composed for short films, and taught students of all ages for the last 8 years. I also work with students who want to write their own music, arrange songs, or prepare for performances. My students trust me because I'm patient, encouraging, and I take their individual interests seriously. I've seen exam students achieve top marks, adult learners rediscover their love for music, and nervous performers grow in confidence on stage. With me, you'll learn to play with feeling, creativity, and a genuine love for the music you create.

Hi, I'm Marcus Garna. I've taught piano for 8 years, and my focus is on helping students connect emotionally with the music they play — whether that's a sweeping film score, a contemporary pop song, or your own original composition. I work with students of all ages and levels, from beginners exploring the instrument to adults returning to the piano after years away. My lessons cover proper technique, hand position, sight-reading, and music theory. But I also emphasize creativity: I teach you how to arrange songs, improvise chord progressions, and find your own voice at the keys. For students interested in film music, we explore how harmony and timing create atmosphere. For contemporary players, we work on chord voicings, rhythm, and playing with feel. My approach is creative, patient, and tailored to your personal musical goals. You'll learn to play with expression, confidence, and a deep appreciation for the music you create.
