About Johannes (Herman)
I started my university career by studying business management. I soon found that I preferred tutoring and teaching, and decided to pursue a degree in English instead. I have been tutoring English and Afrikaans to students from grades 2 - 12, and English as a second language for over five years now.

Writing the SATs may be one of the most important actions a student can take in their academic career. SATs are one of the main determinants of the quality of university a student can get accepted to. I assist high-school students by helping them improve the English portion of the SATs. My method is composed of a multifaceted approach that covers:
• Theory of SAT questions
• How the test makers think the way they do
• Rigorous practice on previous SAT papers
• Going through answers and seeing where the student went wrong
• Developing a ‘game plan’ in which students identify their weaknesses and focus on improving them over time
The result will be a student who is readily equipped to approach the SAT with new knowledge, vigour, and confidence. The student’s score will undoubtedly improve under my coaching.
