About Syed
I am a filmmaker, photographer, and media professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and currently pursuing a Master’s in Media Studies. I have several years of practical experience in photography, cinematography, filmmaking, and visual storytelling.
My photography work includes portrait photography, film photography, photojournalism, documentary, event, and commercial photography. I have also received recognition for my creative work, including **1st place in a photography project competition**, and have participated in photography projects, exhibitions, and photowalks.
As an instructor, I combine academic knowledge with real-world experience to make photography easy, practical, and engaging. I focus on helping students understand not only camera settings and technical skills, but also **composition, lighting, storytelling, creativity, and visual communication**.
Whether you are a complete beginner, a university student, or an intermediate photographer looking to improve your portfolio, I tailor my lessons to your goals and help you develop your own creative style.

Each lesson will combine **theory + practical application + feedback**. Students will receive exercises between sessions and can bring their photographs to the next lesson for detailed feedback and improvement.
The course can also be customised according to your goals — whether you want to learn photography as a hobby, improve your portfolio, prepare for university, develop your photojournalism skills, or build a professional photography practice.
The goal is not simply to teach you how to take technically correct photographs, but to help you understand **why a photograph works, how to tell stories through images, and how to develop your own perspective as a photographer.**
