About Evan
I have a research-based Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and have been working as a personal tutor since high school. I believe math cannot be learned effectively without getting your hands dirty, but you also can't shy away from the "why?". We will start with a short lesson on the how and why we're doing things, and then jump into guided practice problems to gain some hands-on experience. I have taught geometry, algebra, calculus, and university-level, proofs-based courses in the past, and love sharing my excitement for and knowledge of math with people at all points in their educational journeys.
