About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centered on building confidence, engagement, and strong foundational skills while meeting each student exactly where they are. I use a student-centered, standards-based approach that blends direct instruction, guided practice, and meaningful discussion. I believe students learn best when they are actively involved, so I incorporate questioning strategies, real-world connections, and opportunities for students to explain their thinking.

In my lessons, I use a mix of techniques such as:

A typical lesson begins with a quick warm-up or review to activate prior knowledge. Then I introduce the skill or concept with clear modeling and examples.
