About Ian
While studying for my Master's Degree, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for my department's Introductory Statistics class. As an undergraduate, I was a live-in mentor for first-year college students who made sure they had the resources and skills they needed to succeed in college life. These experiences form the base of my teaching method, which seeks to meet students where they are and give them the tools they need to reach their goals.
Outside academics, I enjoy long walks with my dog and caring for my two sweet guinea pigs.

I prefer to work closely with my students, ensuring they understand concepts completely before building on that understanding with new material. My goal is to make sure my students can solve problems without my input so they can carry their knowledge with them in their academic pursuits.
I am primarily interested in high school and early college mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics) with an additional focus on SAT prep.
