I am a first-year Master of Public Health student at McMaster university with almost 5 years of experience tutoring elementary and high school students in Math, French, and Science.
I have helped multiple students achieve their goals for the school year, including higher grades, better presentation skills, and overall more confidence in the subject!

To start, I will assess the student's difficulties and successes with the current material and address any problem areas they are facing. Additionally, I will always look forward in the curriculum to see how I can teach certain concepts in advance so the student is well-prepared and ready to learn once their teacher reaches the topic.
I will assess the students homework and assignments to ensure they are utilizing their studies correctly, and point out areas that may need adjustments. As well, I will create engaging and helpful lesson plans based on their interests and problem areas in the curriculum (e.g., snakes and ladders-themed math game).
Overall, my primary concern is ensuring that the student gains confidence and skills within their subject to tackle new challenges that come their way with ease!
