About Tumi
I am an experienced violin tutor with 11 years of teaching experience, helping students from beginner to advanced levels, including school students, college learners, and working professionals. I am passionate about music and enjoy helping students grow in their abilities.
My teaching philosophy is based on understanding, consistency, and gradual progress. I believe that strong fundamentals are essential for success in violin. I focus on teaching posture, bow control, finger placement, and note reading in detail before moving to advanced concepts.
I also guide students in improving rhythm, tone, and musical expression. I have successfully trained over 150 students, many of whom have shown great improvement and confidence. I create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable. My goal is to make violin learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

I follow a gradual and step-by-step method, ensuring students fully understand each concept before progressing. I also personalise my lessons based on each student’s level and goals. Communication plays a key role in my teaching, and I encourage students to interact and ask questions.
I provide clear guidance and regular feedback to support their improvement. I follow honesty, patience, and commitment. Along with violin, I also teach music theory, ear training, rhythm exercises, and performance techniques.
