About Jenna
My name is Jenna and I’ve been tutoring for more than 2 years now! I am a third-year student at the University of Toronto specializing in molecular biology and minoring in chemistry. I am passionate about helping students build confidence and truly understand the material instead of just memorizing it. I always adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning needs and aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. Seeing students improve academically and gain confidence in themselves is what motivates me the most as a tutor.

The way I teach is I take a look at the student’s homework before the class starts and make a short lesson plan on the topic. I teach the short lesson and then we get started with the homework. I help them out with their homework but I give the student the chance to do it on their own as well so they can see what might be their weaknesses. If the student is taking an online course, I make and send out a schedule of what and when we’ll be doing each given assessment/assignment in the course. This gives the student a more structured plan which is definitely needed when doing a course that is at your own pace. I teach math for students in kindergarten up until first year of university, biology, physics, and chemistry up until 12th grade, and French & English K-8
