I am a mathematics tutor with a strong academic background and over seven years of experience helping students succeed in quantitative subjects. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a 3.7 GPA and have also worked as a university teaching assistant for two years, which has allowed me to develop effective ways of explaining complex concepts clearly and patiently.

My tutoring approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding while helping students develop effective problem-solving strategies. I typically begin a lesson by identifying the student’s goals or areas of difficulty, then introduce the key concept with a clear explanation and step-by-step examples before guiding the student through practice problems where we solve questions together and gradually increase independence. I use techniques such as breaking down complex problems, encouraging students to explain their reasoning, and connecting new material to concepts they already understand to strengthen retention. My lessons are designed for students in Grade 11-12 (Secondary 4–5 and CEGEP for QC students), and university-level courses.
