About Alex
Growing up, my parents had me practice basic math at a very young age, which helped me to process it much faster than most of my class. As a college student, I majored in actuarial science - a math and statistics-centered field focused on risk and pricing risk. Having graduated, I aim to help the next generation so they can understand math the way I was able to growing up.

What makes math so hard to learn is that you don't understand it until you do. I will guide your student through their coursework/homework and break down each step/rule involved in solving the concepts they are studying. The student will have their study materials on hand and any homework or coursework with which they struggle and we go step-by-step until they can solve the problems by themselves. As a tutor, I am patient and easy to get along with. I can assist with any math work for grade school/high school, including Common Core.
